Dear Citizens of Ormond Beach,
CFOB is a long-established civic group that has been an important voice of the people since its inception over 30 years ago. It is a non-profit and non-partisan organization with a membership of citizens from varying political parties, backgrounds, and occupations. We assist in the communication of important issues to Ormond Beach citizens and solicit input from anyone desiring to provide it. As a result of our efforts, we have gained the support of both government officials and citizens. In 2020, we would like to grow our membership and respond to the needs of our members and the citizens in Ormond Beach. This year, we plan to build upon our programs in prior years and begin some new ones:
· Re-imagining the CFOB website, keeping our popular “Ask CFOB” anonymous questions board and adding features, such as a calendar that will foster communication and highlight City of Ormond Beach events and programs;
· Presenting a Speakers Series, inviting City Officials and Community Leaders to speak to our membership about the land development code, Ormond Beach’s new recycling program, transportation and neighborhood traffic control, and flooding and storm water management.
· Hosting our semi-annual Candidate's Forum.
We have an exciting and ambitious agenda for 2020, and I hope that you will continue your support. The CFOB Board of Directors meets every second Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in the Ormond Beach Library Auditorium (near the Children’s Section). Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings. Please include your email address to be notified about upcoming events and speakers.
